Organization 2: The New Teacher Project

The purpose of The New Teacher Project strives to reduce educational inequity in Louisiana. Its primary goal is to build engaging classrooms, focused schools, and strategic school systems. The new teacher project Primary Target Population aims to help teachers understand what they need to help these students benefit from their specific needs.

In addition, the new teacher project aimed at identifying barriers to education; they looked at systemic issues like culture, leadership, retention, and compensation in the state of Louisiana.

Also, The New Teacher Project provides advice to different education leaders “on how to approach questions of educational quality, from navigating negotiations to engaging community members to communicating the superintendent’s vision. Furthermore, The New Teacher Project looks at training educators in Louisiana, helping to invest in academic content, helping with teacher evaluations, teacher recruiting, and more.

Education Policy 1:

There are different policies and practices for American education that are influenced by political ideology. Conservative ideology emphasizes knowledge-centred education, traditional forms of learning and curricula, respect for authority and discipline, and the adoption of rigorous academic standards. In contrast; Liberal ideology curricula are responsive to the induvial and social and environmental context.

There are two primary methods to apply the principles of risk, protection, and resilience to educational policy “. First and foremost, the plan aims to target programs and policies towards young people from low-income households because this is a significant predictor of academic failure. For the second part of the approach, the attention is placed on assessing risk, providing protection, and building resilience to develop educational policies and programs that are helpful to all students.

Education Policy

The No Child Left Behind Act was a 1990s education program (NCLB).

The goal of NCLB was to make public education more robust and accountable, alter the educational climate, and implement policies based on practical research. An assessment system was put in place to measure the progress of youngsters under this approach.

On top of that, NCLB is notable for its focus on the importance of parental involvement in children’s education. Since the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) in 2002, educational practices have shifted to emphasize children satisfying standards of learning and evaluation as well as school-based administration, the empowerment of teachers, and educational choice.”
